Wight Counselling Training Institute

Wight Psychotherapy Training Institute

Developing All the Counselling Skills You Need

Wight Psychotherapy Training Institute provides varied, fulfilling courses that allow individuals to develop all the counselling skills they need. Whether you are looking to become an accredited counsellor or want to acquire a counselling qualification to improve performance in another line of work, or simply see counselling as a way of furthering your personal development, we have the resources and experience to help each student grow.

Our level 3 Counselling certificate is a fantastic platform for those wanting to learn more about themselves and others as well as develop counselling skills. It focuses on 5 main counselling theories; Gestalt, Person centred, psychodynamic, CBT and Transactional Analysis as well as professional ethics. Through a series of interactive and engaging exercises these theories will be brought to live and relevance given to society, self and other. There is a strong personal development theme that runs through the level 3. In addition, our experienced tutors teach counselling skills: empathic listening, focusing/immediacy, challenging, effective questioning and more. Some people wish to do the level 3 for their own development, professional development or as a platform to then train as a counsellor.

It is a requirement to complete a level 3 training before joining the diploma. Those who completed their level 3 with WCTI will be given priority.

We are an accredited training. Our diploma training will enable students to register with a recognised counselling professional body such as BACP, as a qualified counsellor.
